I would recommend saving up your hard earned cash and only eating out on birthdays/special occasions.
- Snacks – I am fully aware that most of you out there have your kitchen cupboards full of empty calorie snacks. This needs to change now! You want to get your kids used to more healthier options of snacks like fruit or whole grain selections – there are some very tasty alternatives out there at the moment if you take the time to look!
- Don’t be to strict with this new food policy! Basically DON’T do what my parents used to do with me – insist I clean the plate before leaving the table! This will only set a mindset up of dread within the child when it comes to dinner time.
